The printer memory size is also an important indicator of the printing speed. With large memory, it can provide the CPU with enough computing space and space to store temporary data, IE cache space. Memory is small, and when you print some complex documents, you need to re-enter the data of these complex documents, which relatively slows down the printing speed. At present, the fastest speed of needle printers is 480 chars/second, inkjet printers can print black and white documents up to 28PPM, and color documents 18PPM. As a high-speed, high-quality, low-cost printing device, laser printers have been increasingly accepted by users. Based on the black and white printing speed of 60 ppm, the color speed has reached 35 ppm.

2, print memory

Printer memory is the amount of storage that the printer stores the data to be printed. If there is insufficient memory, there is very little data transferred to the printer each time. A small number of documents printed on one page or in batches can be printed normally. If the printed document has a large capacity, the customer will often be able to print the first few pages normally during the printing process, and subsequent printing operations will show data loss. At the same time, the printer's LCD panel or status indicator light will prompt the printer to have insufficient memory or Overflow, and sometimes there will be corresponding error information on the computer's display. This is due to the large amount of information described in this print document that causes a shortage of printer memory. At this point, if you want to increase the printing speed and improve the printing quality, you need to increase the printer memory. At present, the memory of mainstream printers is 2M-32M, and high-end printers can reach 128M memory. It is believed that with the development of printing products, the memory of printers will gradually increase to meet the printing requirements of different environments.

3, print quality

Resolution DPI(dot per inch) is an important indicator of print quality in the industry. It refers to the number of points that can be printed in each inch in both horizontal and vertical directions when printing output. In general, the printing resolution we refer to is the maximum resolution or limit resolution of the printer output, but also refers to its horizontal printing ability. For example, 800 * 600 dpi, of which 800 represents the number of points displayed in the horizontal direction on the print page, and 600 represents the number of points displayed in the vertical direction. The higher the DPI value in monochrome printing, the better the printing effect, and the more complex the color printing situation, usually the quality of the print is affected by the DPI value and color blending ability. Since the black-and-white print resolution of a typical color printer may be different from the color print resolution, be sure to pay attention to which resolution the merchant tells you, and whether it is the highest resolution. Printers above 360X360DPI should generally be selected.

4, printing costs

At present, the reason why needle printers can be popular for a long time in some special fields, in addition to their own compatibility advantages, cost advantages are not to be ignored. For needle printers, almost the only consumable overhead is ribbon. This is related to its relatively low price, extremely low printing costs and application areas. Compared with needle printers and laser printers, inkjet printers are cheaper. The more prominent advantages are small size, convenient operation, low printing noise, and the ability to print color documents. For inkjet printing, the loss of ink cartridges and sprinklers is also a high cost that can not be ignored, especially if the ink cartridges are not used for a long time, and it will block the sprinklers, and it will be much less than the needle-type and laser printer supplies. The price of its consumable ink cartridge leads to the highest cost of inkjet printers, and it is impossible to exert its power in the commercial market. For laser printing, although laser printers and their consumables are much more expensive than inkjet printers and their consumables, laser printers are much cheaper in terms of the cost of printing a single page.
